• Dennis Gene Gloyn, 46, of Skydome Rd., Sweetwater, was arrested on July 19 by the McMinn County Sheriff’s Department and charged with felony evading, resisting arrest, possession of a schedule II drug for resale, driving on a revoked license, aggravated criminal trespassing, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of prohibited weapons. He was being held on $29,000 bond and faced a date in General Sessions Court on July 20.

• Pamela Irene Highsmith, 68, of County Road 249, Athens, was arrested on July 19 by the McMinn County Sheriff’s Department and charged with aggravated assault by domestic and attempted arson. She was released on $25,000 bond and faced a date in General Sessions Court on July 20.

• Terrance Blye, 30, of Cleveland Ave., Chattanooga, was arrested on July 19 by the Athens Police Department and charged with theft over $1,000. He was released on $4,000 bond and faced a date in General Sessions Court on July 20.

• Sarah Leinweber, 22, with no address listed, was arrested on July 19 by the Athens Police Department and charged with domestic assault and vandalism over $500. She was being held on $4,500 and faced a date in General Sessions Court on July 20.

• Dustin Scott McHone, 30, of McHone Hollow Rd., Decatur, was arrested on July 20 by the McMinn County Sheriff’s Department and charged with possession of a schedule II drug for resale, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of probation. He was being held on $14,000 bond and faced a date in General Sessions Court on July 21.

• Edward Pritchett, 46, of Kathy St., Athens, was arrested on July 20 by the Athens Police Department and charged with domestic assault. He was being held on $500 bond and faced a date in General Sessions Court on July 21.

• Doug Stricklan, 65, of Hill Loop, Madisonville, was arrested on July 21 by the Tennessee Highway Patrol and charged with driving under the influence. He was being held without bond and faces a date in General Sessions Court on July 22.
