• Gene Arnwine, 31, of 2300 Ingleside Ave., Athens, was arrested on June 21 by the Polk County Sheriff’s Department and charged with a warrant for reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon and two counts of vandalism. He was released on $10,000 bond and faces a date in Criminal Court on July 6.

• Shiane Tuell, 25, with no address listed, was arrested on June 21 by the Athens Police Department and charged with possession of a Schedule I drug for resale, possession of a Schedule VI drug, unlawful drug paraphernalia and driving on a suspended license. She was being held without bond and faces a date in Criminal Court on July 6.

• Michael B. Roberts, 55, of 539 Robinson Rd., Decatur, was arrested on June 21 by the Tennessee Highway Patrol and charged with driving under the influence and violation of the open container law. He was released on $4,500 bond and faced a date in General Sessions Court on June 22.

• Floyd Chrisman, 46, of 399 County Road 435, Englewood, was arrested on June 21 by the Athens Police Department and charged with aggravated assault. He was released on $15,000 bond and faced a date in General Sessions Court on June 22.

• Marcus Shirk, 45, of 1224 Old Englewood Rd., Athens, was arrested on June 21 by the Athens Police Department and charged with simple assault, public intoxication, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. He was released on $3,000 bond and faced a date in General Sessions Court on June 22.

• James L. Osbourne, 25, of 214 4th St., Etowah, was arrested on June 22 and charged with violation of state probation. He was being held without bond and faced a date in General Sessions Court on June 22.

• Brian Thurman, 36, of 159 County Road 100, Decatur, was arrested on June 22 by the McMinn County Sheriff’s Department and charged with possession of meth and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was being held without bond and faced a date in General Sessions Court on June 23.

• Jeffrey Hammond, 70, of 382 Market St. NE, Charleston, was arrested on June 22 by the McMinn County Sheriff’s Department and charged with public intoxication. He was released without bond and faced a date in General Sessions Court on June 23.

• Brandy Hoskins, 25, of 115 Liberty Lane, Athens, was arrested on June 22 by the Athens Police Department and charged with filing false reports. She was being held on $12,000 bond and faced a date in General Sessions Court on June 22.
