William Elisha “Eli” Andrus, 38 of Riceville, TN passed away on Monday, June 22, 2020 at Fort Sanders Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. He was preceded in death by his mother, Cindy Monroe Carter of Athens; maternal grandparents, Bobby and Betty Monroe of Niota; and paternal grandparents, Clifford and Mabel Barton of Riceville. He is survived by his wife, Kimberly “Kim” Buchanan Andrus of Athens; stepfather, Charles “Tracy” Carter of Athens; father and stepmother, Jeff and Donna (Goins) Andrus of Cleveland; four sisters, Amanda Carter of Athens, Jessie Andrus, Tonya Mikel (Dustin) of Cleveland and April West (Danny) of Georgia; nieces and nephews, Bailey Wallis of Athens, Bryson and Ethan Mikel of Cleveland, Kayde Williams of Georgia; several aunts, uncles, cousins and stepgrandparents. A celebration of life memorial service is planned for Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 7 p.m. in the Athens chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 400 S. White Street in Athens with the Rev. Kevin Miller and the Rev. Pam Scruggs officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday prior to the service.
