Robert Earl Womac, 66, of Riceville, died Thursday, May 28, 2020, at his residence. Robert was a lifelong resident of McMinn County and was a son of the late Glenn V. and Jean Haynes Womac. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Donna Gail Higgins Womac; and a brother, Thomas Irvin Womac. He was a member of South Liberty Baptist Church and was associated with Duracell and Robette Mfg. Company until his retirement. He is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Harley Crisp; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Janice Womac; and a sister-in-law, Ann Womac, all of Riceville; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service was conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 31, at Womac Family Cemetery in Calhoun with the Rev. Stanley Liner officiating. There was no formal visitation due to the COVID-19 restrictions. Pallbearers were Jerid Womac, Harley Crisp, Cody Womac, Jordan Rummel, Shelby Rummel, and Nathan Crowden. Honorary pallbearers were Rob Morrow, Coy Harbison, and Josh Womac. The family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital-Tribute, P.O.
