Eva Nell Harris Dockins, 84, a lifelong resident of Athens, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2019, at Life Care of Athens. She was born in Tellico Plains on March 30, 1935, a daughter of the late Andrew and Esta Mae Harris. She will forever be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Eva Faye Slack. Eva leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving and devoted husband of 68 years, Glen A. “Dock” Dockins; daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Dick Moss; granddaughters, Renee Morgan and Laura Fulbright and her husband, Kyle; one great-grandson, Porter Fulbright; one brother, Eddie Harris and his wife, Judy, of Riceville; one sister-in-law, Joyce Davis; numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends. A graveside service is planned for Wednesday, Sept. 18, at 2 p.m. at McMinn Memory Gardens with the Rev. Jimmy Maddox and the Rev. Charles Ensminger officiating.
