Randy D. Aikman, 59, of Athens passed away on Tuesday afternoon, April 28, 2020, at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville. He was born in Decatur on Sept. 11, 1960, a son of the late Lawrence Aikman and Beatrice Cranfield Aikman. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Navy after faithfully serving his country. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother by love, Robert E. Aikman. Randy leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Beverly Stinnett Aikman; son, Randy Aikman II; brothers by love, John Aikman, Ross Aikman, Elliott Aikman and Kevin Aikman; sisters, Gail and Lori; best friend for life, Darrell Finley; stepchildren, Kevin Plaster and Kelli Hester; a much loved granddaughter, Kalista Rose Aikman, and her mother, Katy; and numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends. Memorial donations can be made in Randy’s memory to Victory Baptist Church, U.S. Hwy. 11, Niota, TN 37826. The family will hold a private graveside service.
