Patricia Rosaleen Scanlon, 89, of Athens died at NHC Cool Springs in Franklin on Feb. 29. Patricia Scanlon was a stay-at-home mom raising seven children and helping with numerous grandchildren. Patricia was a former resident of Kingman, Ariz. A member of the Catholic church, Pat is now in heaven with her husband of 66 years, Tom, and two sons who also preceded her in death, James Patrick and Thomas Edward. Survivors include her five children, Penny Lee (Gary), Patricia Doyle (Edward), Jerold (Tammy), Laura Doherty (Daniel) and Mechelle Walsh (Michael). Pat also had 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Memorial services for Patricia will be held at The Minor Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, located at 214 East 8th Street in Chattanooga, on Monday, July 6, at 9:30 a.m. Patricia Rosaleen, along with Thomas Joseph, James Patrick, Thomas Edward and Tamorah Sue will be interred at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 6, at Chattanooga Cemetery, located at 1200 Bailey Avenue in Chattanooga. The family requests that no flowers be sent for services. Please donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Alternative Cremations of Franklin performed the cremation.
