The Tennessee Department of Health has released its latest statistics related to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

As of 3 p.m. Tuesday, Tennessee reported 1,051,809 total cases (+9,686), 81,022 of them active, and 13,486 total fatalities (+57) with 9,116,804 total tests (+43,333) completed.

Statewide, there were 3,272 cases (+89) currently hospitalized as of Monday, Aug. 30.

McMinn County has reported 8,204 total cases, which is an increase of 97 over the previous update. There are currently 728 active cases as well, which is up 43, out of 56,501 total tests, which is up by 305.

There have been 110 fatalities reported, which is no change from the previous update.

Meigs County has reported 1,768 total cases, an increase of 19 over the previous update.

There are currently 183 active cases as well, which is up four, out of 11,207 total tests, which went up by 59.

There have been 24 fatalities reported, which is no change from the previous update.

McMinn borders the following counties: Monroe (829 active cases); Loudon (481); Bradley (1,392); Meigs (183) and Polk (179).

Meigs shares a border with the following counties: Roane (685 active cases); Hamilton (2,956); Bradley (1,392); McMinn (728) and Rhea (616).
