The Tennessee Department of Health has released its latest statistics related to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

As of 3 p.m. Thursday, Tennessee has compiled a total of 852,072 cases (+1,187) of coronavirus (COVID-19) and a resulting 12,245 fatalities (+17) with 7,727,569 tests (+16,481) completed.

McMinn County has reported 6,506 total cases, which is an increase of 17 over the previous update.

There are currently 91 active cases as well, an increase of 10 since the previous update, out of 49,902 total tests, which is up by 166.

There have been 98 fatalities reported — no change since last update.

Meigs County has reported 1,388 total cases, an increase of five since the previous update.

There are currently 23 active cases, an increase of two since the previous update, out of 9,633 total tests, which went up by 16.

There have been 25 fatalities reported — no change since the previous update.

McMinn borders the following counties: Monroe (5,837 cases); Loudon (6,124); Bradley (15,010); Meigs (1,388) and Polk (2,076).

Meigs shares a border with: Roane (6,281 cases); Hamilton (44,219); Bradley (15,010); McMinn (6,506) and Rhea (4,343).
