July 8, 2021 LEGAL NOTICE Request for Bid Pursuant to T.C.A. § 5-21-118, bids will be accepted in the Office of the Director of Finance; McMinn County Courthouse; 6 East Madison Avenue; Athens, TN 37303 until July 29, 2021 at 11:00 A.M., at which time the bids will be publicly opened and announced for the following to be used by the McMinn County Board of Education: Furnish all labor, tools, equipment, and materials for the construction as stated within the bid specifications and drawings for the New Freezer Addition at McMinn County High School at 2215 Congress Parkway, Athens, TN 37303. NOTE: A MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference will be held at McMinn County High School on July 21, 2021 at 9:00 A.M. No bidder will be permitted to withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) days following the date of the opening. It is the policy of the Government of McMinn County Tennessee not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex or disability in its hiring and employment practices, or in admission to, access to, or operation of its programs, services, and activities. All bidders will be required to sign a Title VI Contract Assurance Form stating that their company complies with this policy. McMinn County reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or to accept the bid, or any portion thereof, that in its judgment will be for the best interest of McMinn County.
