Christopher Arlie Baker, 44, of Athens, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2019. Born March 28, 1975, Chris, a lifelong resident of Athens, always brought with him lots of laughs. He brought joy to many, especially during his time as an SRO officer at E.K. Baker School. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bobbie Jean “Nancy” Baker (Davis); two special cousins, Tammy Renee and Greg Nichols; as well as his grandparents. He is survived by his father, Troy Daniel “Danny” Baker; his daughter and her husband, Kelsey and Luis Munoz; his sons and their wives, Tristin and Renee Baker, Tanner and Brook Roberts, and Garrett Baker; one granddaughter, Amelia Munoz; his brother and wife, Jeff and Paula Baker; niece, Emily Baker; as well as numerous other family member and friends. To honor his wishes, a memorial service will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Shatterproof, The Herren Project, or the National Stroke Association. Companion Funeral Home of Athens has charge of these arrangements.
