Thomas “Tommy” Edward White, 59, of Tellico Plains, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2019, at his residence. A native of Athens and a longtime resident of Tellico Plains, he was the son of the late Bill S. White and was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Q. White. He had managed the Broken Arrow Campground in Green Cove for many years. Survivors include his mother, Wilma Jean Poteet White of Athens; one daughter, Diana French of Madisonville; two sisters, Teania Fennell of Athens, and Deborah Davis of Athens; two grandsons, Sky French and Trevor Cook; nephew, Travis Davis of Athens; and special friend, Shelia Hooper of Tellico Plains. Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
