Davy N. “Crock” Armour, 63, of Sweetwater, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019. He was a member of Glenlock Baptist Church of Sweetwater. Crock was a well-known livestock farmer in Monroe, McMinn, and Meigs counties. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Nettie Mae Armour; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Inman and Gracie Moss; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Valeria Armour, Clayteen and Ann Moss, and Carolyn Moss Godsey. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Diane Moss Armour of Sweetwater; daughter and son-in-law, Annette and Chuck Liner of Athens; grandchildren, Jason and Hailey Melton of Sweetwater; brothers and sister-in-law, Charles Armour, and Eddie and Charlotte Armour, all of Meigs County; brother-in-law, David Moss of Sweetwater; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends and farming colleagues. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Sept. 11, at Kyker Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m., with the funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Steve Oneal, the Rev. Bill Coppenger and the Rev. Caggie Scruggs officiating. Interment will be 10 a.m. on Thursday in Sweetwater Memorial Park. Kyker Funeral Home of Sweetwater is in charge of arrangements.
