Sherry Lee Best, 65, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, July 8, 2019, at Hospice Care Center in Chattanooga. Sherry was born in Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D.C., while her dad was stationed in the Army. She was the daughter of the late Joel Bynum Best Jr. and Bertha Lucille Beavers Best. Survivors include one sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Andy Myers of Athens; one nephew, Nathan Myers and wife, Leila, of Knoxville; three nieces, Natalie Myers and husband, Phillip, of Knoxville, Nichole Myers of Athens, and Noelle Myers of Chattanooga; four great-nephews, Maddox Myers, Weston Myers, Brandt Myers, and Britton Reyes; and one great-niece, Isabella Reyes. Sherry leaves behind many caregivers and friends at Life Bridges in Cleveland, where she was a resident for almost 17 years. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home. Burial will follow in McMinn Memory Gardens. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Life Bridges, P.O. Box 29, Cleveland, TN 37364.
