DENSO hosts 8th graders

DENSO Manufacturing Athens Tennessee recently hosted 8th grade students from across the region to show them the manufacturing facility. Seven different schools participated in an essay contest on “What Manufacturing Means to Me.” Students took part in robot demonstrations, LEGO build stations, Q&A panels with DENSO associates, hands-on activities with Cleveland State Community College and a lunch and learn with DENSO’s president. “We were excited to open our doors to provide students access to explore all the different career possibilities, hands-on activities and a first-hand look at advanced, high-tech manufacturing in our area,” DENSO President Marty Deschenes said.
