AmVets donate to McMinn Central

On Veteran’s Day, Monday, Nov. 11, the McMinn Central High School band volunteered to play at the Etowah AmVets Post 100 Veteran’s Day program. The music was so enjoyed by all that Post Commander Roy Nivens held a vote, which was unanimous, to donate $100 to the band. On Wednesday, Jan. 16, Jimmy Williams, Post 100 provost marshal, met with Principal Jeff Gilbert and Drum Major Hannah Vaughn to present them with the check for $100. Williams also presented them with a personal donation of $100. Shown here are (from left) Vaughn, Williams and Gilbert.
