The MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Support Group, “Standing up to MS,” will meet at the Thai Bistro Restaurant in Tellico Village on Tuesday, March 19, at 11:30 a.m. Marti. Starr Mountain Quilts of Valor Quilters: will hold its monthly meeting at First Baptist Church of Englewood from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 16. This will be a planning meeting for upcoming presentations of Quilts of Valor to local veterans. It will be a good introduction for anyone who has thought about becoming involved with this program. Lane’s Chapel AME Zion Church: will feature The Dixson Family, Marcenia Smith, Brother Felix McCullough, and others singing on Saturday, March 16, at 6 p.m. Church located at 304 County Road 264 in Niota.

Cambria Baptist Church: will be in revival March 18-22 at 7 p.m. each night. The evangelist will be Tony Garrett and there will be special singing each night. Everyone welcome. Church located at 305 County Road 875 in Etowah, just off Highway 411 South.

West End Baptist Church: will be in revival March 17-20. Sunday services will be held at 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday services will be at 7 p.m. each night. There will be special singing each night. Everyone welcome. Church located on Clark Street In Athens.

New Bethany Baptist Church: will hold a yard sale on Saturday, March 16, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Breakfast and lunch will be available for purchase. There will be a bag sale on clothes. All proceeds will benefit church missions. Church located in the Head of Creek community in Sweetwater.

Miscellaneous

Athens Christian Church: is partnering with Smoky Mountain Children’s Homes to help train those who want to be foster parents. The church will host a class called PATH in its fellowship hall once it has six families desiring to be foster parents. SMCH Coordinator Jeremy Bean will be teaching the class. Anyone who knows of a family or families who would like to participate should call Rich at 865-279-4371 or Bean at 865-776-2980. The class will be held once a week and will last about an hour.

Non-Denominational Bible Club: will meet each Tuesday from 3:35-4:35 p.m. in the art room of North City School in Athens. There will be stories, games and refreshments. The teacher is Pam McAchren. Libby Johnson has retired. There is no charge to join the club, which is not directly affiliated with the host school. The club is designed to be fun for children while they learn about the Bible.
