Don't throw a fit, just change the channel

Recently, a great wind blew through and knocked out the satellite signal for a few minutes, so I was forced to either be bored or read. It so happened in my reading, I came across a study suggesting that parents who switch channels from violent shows to educational programming can increase preschoolers’ good behavior. Realizing I have the brain capacity of a preschooler, this interested me for about five seconds before I realized I was hungry, pitched a tantrum, got some graham crackers, and then the TV came back on.
