The reprieve, however, didn't last long. Following a 14-1 setback at regular season champion Sequoyah on Saturday, the Chargers now find themselves on the brink of a season-ending loss when they play at Meigs County today, starting at 5 p.m.

KINGSPORT - Tennessee Wesleyan College won on the field Thursday in the second round of the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament being held at Hunter-Wright Stadium.
Wesleyan followed up Tuesday's 16-3 decision over Virginia Intermont by pounding Milligan College, 15-4, but lost AAC Pitcher of the Year of the Year Jeremy Fitzgerald to a pitching-hand injury when the junior righthander collided with teammate Jake Stone while trying to make a play in the game.

DECATUR - Meigs County defeated McMinn County Tuesday, 5-1, to earn the season sweep.
The Lady Tigers, fell behind 1-0 early in top of the fourth, but roared back with five runs in the bottom of the inning. Other than the fourth inning, neither team showed much offensive punch, something Meigs Coach Jeff Davis commented on.
