Clayteen Moss, 67, of Ten Mile, passed away Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013.
He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, a 25-year member of Meigs Lodge 213 F&AM, and a 32nd degree Mason. He was a graduate of TMI and Hiwassee College. Clayteen was a longtime business man in Ten Mile, as well as Sweetwater. He started and operated many businesses, with the last being Sweetwater Pawn Shop, Inc. He enjoyed spending time on the lake with his dogs.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann S. Moss; father, Inman Hysell Moss; and sister, Carolyn Moss Godsey.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Clay Moss and wife, Tanya, of Decatur, and Clint Moss and wife, April, of Knoxville; daughters, Tabathia Gates and husband, Chad, of Niota, and Sandy Moss of Athens; grandchildren, Brody Moss and Chase Gates; mother, Gracie Mae Moss; sister, Diane Armour; brother, David Moss, all of Sweetwater; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.
A special thanks to his caregivers, Joe and Joseph Vann, and Wesley Ricketson.
The body is at Kyker Funeral Home of Sweetwater, where the family will receive friends Tuesday, Sept. 10, from 5 to 7 p.m. Masonic service at 7 p.m. Funeral service to follow with the Rev. Max Redman officiating.
Interment and graveside service 11 a.m. Wednesday in Sweetwater Memorial Park.
The pallbearers serving will be Joe Vann, Joseph Vann, Wesley Ricketson, Chris Erwin, Skipper Jackson and Chad Casteel.
