Mildred Horsman, 93, of Ten Mile, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, at her residence.
She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Athens where she was a longtime member of the WMU and a supporter of home and foreign missions.
She loved to read and to travel locally and abroad.
A native of Newton, Iowa, former resident of Athens for 15 years, and resident of Ten Mile for the past seven years, she was a daughter of the late James Walter and Lena Clemens Davis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Horsman; three brothers, Harold Davis, Keith Davis and Kenneth Davis; and one sister, Dorothy Jean Davis.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Joyce Horsman of Colorado; one daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Randy Baker of Ten Mile; and two granddaughters, Julie Chiron and Jennifer Horsman.
Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Dr. Jason Clark officiating.
Interment will be in Springfield, Mo., next to her husband.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
