James Larry \"Dunk\" Duncan

James Larry \"Dunk\" Duncan, 65, of Riceville, died Monday, July 22, 2013, at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga.
A native of Loudon County, and a resident of McMinn County for most of his life, he was a son of the late Carey and Nora Morgan Duncan. He was of the Baptist faith and was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He was a member of the bowling leagues at Classic Lanes and enjoyed dirt track race car driving.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the U.S. Army, and earned the Bronze Star for Valor. He was retired from Bowater as a welder and millwright after 37 years and was also preceded in death by two brothers, Harvey \"Bud\" Duncan and Cecil Duncan.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Connie Hutson Duncan of Riceville; one son and daughter-in-law, Aaron A. and Candice Duncan of Riceville; one daughter and son-in-law, Mycah and R.J. Wiggall of Riceville; six sisters and brothers-in-law, Virginia and Freddie Cook, Barbara and Frank Kincannon, Dorothy and Floyd Green, Pat and Jerry Simpson, Judy and Porter Wroff and Linda and Jack Breedwell; and three grandsons, Duncan Wiggall, Roman Wiggall and Wyatt Duncan.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at McMinn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Heling, J.R. Wiggall, Drake Durrant, Lee Cook, Bobby Clark and Jerry Plemmons.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
