Norman Harvey, 68, of Chattanooga, died Friday, May 10, 2013, at a Chattanooga hospital.
He was employed at Erlanger Medical Center and was preceded in death by his mother, Viola Harvey; his father, Charles Fifer; his grandmother, Leona Smith; one sister, Gloria Fifer; and one brother, Albert Fifer.
He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife of 25 years, Tina Cobb Harvey of Chattanooga; his children, Adelia Harris and Norman Harvey Jr. and his wife, Crystal, all of Chattanooga, and Christy Cobb-Smith and her husband, Carl, of Memphis; brothers and sisters, Jereline Sanders, Maurice Harvey and Sarah Spivey, all of Chattanooga, Nettie Harvey of Albany, N.Y., and Mary Thomas, Charles Fifer, Linda J. Dotson, Robbie Donelson and Rosemary Porter, all of Chattanooga; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Gilda McDermott of Athens, Robert Cobb and his wife, Lois, of Etowah, and Guy Cobb of Athens; grandchildren, Brandon Harris of Chattanooga, Kirby and Jordan Smith of Memphis, and Norman Harvey III and Channing Andrews of Chattanooga; one great-grandson, Caleb Johnson of Chattanooga; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family to cherish his memories.
Funeral services will be noon Saturday at Taylor Funeral Home with Dr. Willie Paul, pastor/teacher, officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery in Etowah.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at the funeral home.
