Sam Wade, 61, of Sweetwater, died Thursday, April 25, 2013, at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville.
He was a member of Cedar Valley Baptist Church of Sweetwater and was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the National Guard. He was employed by Funderburk Electrical in Knoxville and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Wade.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Ann Wade of Sweetwater; two daughters and one son-in-law, Melissa and Aldo Pecorilli of Gray, Ga., and Amber Wade of Sweetwater; one son, Travis Wade of Madisonville; four grandchildren, Elizabeth, Isabella and Andrew Pecorilli and Cullen Elmore; his mother, Louella Wade of Macon, Ga.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Rusty and Diane Wade of Gray, Ga., and John Paul and Susan Wade of Macon, Ga.; several nieces and nephews; and a special pet, \"Arlie.\"
The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Kyker Funeral Home, with funeral services following at 8 p.m. in the chapel with the Rev. Larry Gibby and the Rev. Clint Riddle officiating. Burial was 1 p.m. Monday in the Cedar Valley Baptist Church Cemetery with full military honors.
Kyker Funeral Home of Sweetwater was in charge of arrangements.
