Rev. Carl \"Taylor\" Colbaugh went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 24, 2013, at his residence.
He was a retired minister and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. He was a member of Meigs Masonic Lodge 213 F&AM. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert William and Willie Laura Brown Colbaugh; one sister, Jackie Arnold; and three brothers, Ralph Colbaugh, Charles Colbaugh and John L. Colbaugh.
Survivors include his wife, Allene Colbaugh of Decatur; two sons and daughters-in-law, Teddie and Carol Ann Colbaugh and Carl William and Kim Colbaugh, all of Decatur; one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Randy Benton of Decatur; three brothers and sisters-in-law, George Colbaugh, Bertha Colbaugh and Harles and Diane Colbaugh, all of Decatur, and Kenneth and Ann Colbaugh of Harrison; one sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Red Roberts of Riceville; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of friends who loved him very much. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Bowers Funeral Home with the Rev. Landon Harden and the Rev. Mike King officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Justin Colbaugh, Derek Colbaugh, Nash Benton, Austin Colbaugh, Ryan Aikman and Nicholas Benton.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with a Masonic service to follow at 8 p.m.
