L.C. Renfro, 89, of Kingston, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Sweetwater Nursing Home.
A native of Meigs County, and a lifelong resident Roane County, he was a son of the late Luke and Cora Cupp Renfro. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Mae Walker Renfro, on Dec. 15, 1994; one stepson, Johnny Isbel; and four brothers.
He was a former employee of Roane Electric Company and was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in Italy and France in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, George and Diana Renfro of Vonore; one daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Wendell Jolley of Spring City; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Lonnie and Shirley Renfro, Bobby and Betty Renfro and Charlie and Faye Renfro, all of Ten Mile; one sister and brother-in-law, Ethel and Sidney Sitzler of Kingston; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Ted Clower officiating. Graveside services with military honors will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Edgeman Cemetery in Ten Mile.
Active pallbearers will be Ryan Jamerson and Brandon Jamerson.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
