Dora Christine Couch Meadows, 65, of Decatur, died Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville.
A native of Rhea County and a lifelong resident of Meigs County, she was a daughter of the late Hershel Lee and Flossie Mae Newby Couch, and was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Pelfry and Faye Douglas; and one brother, Robert Allen Couch. She was a member of Morning View Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, LeeRoy Meadows of Decatur; three sons and daughters-in-law, LeeRoy Jr. and Lisa Meadows of Johnson City, Franklyn and Sheri Meadows of Athens, and Tim and Brandy Meadows of Decatur; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Couch officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Pisgah Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
