Ruel Elijah Raby, 85, of Decatur, died Friday, March 8, 2013, at Brookwood Nursing Center.
A native of Englewood, a former resident of Chattanooga and, most recently, of Decatur, he was a son of the late John Elijah and Ada Morgan Raby and was preceded in death by three sisters, Nellie Sue Wallas, Lois Mae Raby and Mary Elizabeth Stump; three brothers, Lattie Cecil Raby, Johnny Lee Raby and Jerald Dean Raby. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Bonnie Raby of Ten Mile, and Jerry and Mary Raby of Tampa, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no formal visitation or funeral service.
