Floria Lee Jarrett Jackson, 74, departed this world on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at Woods Memorial Hospital.
She was well known for her love for others. She was a member of Harwell Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church in Etowah, where she served on the kitchen committee. She worked many years at Woods Memorial Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Lee Butts Jarrett, and her father, French Jarrett Sr.; her husband of many years, Lonnie Jackson Jr.; two daughters, Eva Bazel and Leatrice McDermott; one grandson, Ronald Bazel Jr.; and three sisters, Christine Jarrett, Ethel Jarrett and Willie Ann Jarrett.
Survivors include one son, Avery Jackson; one sister and brother-in-law, Lorine and J.D. Goins of Harriman; two brothers and one sister-in-law, French Jarrett Jr. and his wife, Betty, and Michael Williams, all of Etowah; three grandchildren and one spouse, Chauntaine Bazel White, Timothy White and Sam and Alisha Bazel; five devoted nieces, Tetha Houston, Sandra Goins and Andrea Goins, all of Knoxville, and Darlene Jarrett and Diana Wilkerson, both of Etowah; six great-grandchildren; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; special friends, Tabitha Siklosi and Ginger Woody; and many other friends and loved ones.
Funeral services will 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Caggie Scruggs officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home of Athens is in charge of arrangements.
