Billy Ray Trew, 65, of Decatur, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Barney and Mary Grigsby Trew: one brother, J.B Trew; and one sister, Barbara \"Bobbie\" Trew. He was of the Church of God faith and was born March 27, 1947.

Survivors include his wife of more than 40 years, Susan \"Susie\" Goines Trew: one son, Billy Trew Jr. and his wife, Stacy; one brother, Clyde Trew; and sister, Mildred Miller, all of Decatur.

Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Bowers Funeral Home with Pastor Wendy Barick officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday in Mountain View Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bowers Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
