Bonnie Inez Merrell Wilcox, 82, of the Greasy Creek community, died on Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at her residence.
She was born Feb. 1, 1931, to the late Arthur and Mae Rymer Merrell. She was a member of Greasy Creek Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charlie Russell Wilcox; two infant brothers; and one brother-in-law, Wayne Wilcox.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Clifford Ray and Jeanne Wilcox of Cleveland; grandchildren, Christopher S. Wilcox and Stacy R. Wilcox of Cleveland; one brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Una Merrell; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Beatrice Wilcox and Minnie and J.M. Lowe, all of Reliance; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Jones officiating. Burial will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Greasy Creek Cemetery. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
