Shirley June Freeman Hunt, 66, of Decatur, died on Friday morning, Feb. 8, 2013, at Sweetwater Hospital.
A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late Onley Freeman and Ida Belcher, and was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph John Wesley Hunt; two sons, William D. Farner and Luther Farner; a daughter-in-law, Diane L. Hunt; and a grandson, Brian W. Farner. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Henry Lee and Jamie Hunt of Athens and Michael Edward Hunt of Decatur; grandchildren, Andy, Benny and Dessie Lopez, Christina Farner, Lacie Westbrooks, Christopher, Joshua and Ryan Hunt, Shannon and Sarah Young and Blade T. Farris; and several great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were 2:30 p.m. Monday at Trew Cemetery with Pastor Aaron Pierce officiating.
The family received friends from noon to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
