Tommy Dean Snyder, 58, of Athens, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013.



A native of Rockwood and Spring City, Tommy had lived in Athens for 13 years. He was a 1972 graduate of Spring City High School and worked for the Colonial Bread Company. Tommy was an avid golfer and a major UT Vols fan. He was of the Pentecostal faith and was a member of the Spring City Four Square Church and attended the Woodward Church of God in Athens. He was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Snyder; grandparents, Ralph and Ora Snyder and Nelson Howard and Leona E. NaPier; and a very special aunt, Bertie Alexander.



Survivors include his wife, Tina Chambers Snyder of Athens; his mother, Barbara N. Snyder of Rockwood; two daughters and sons-in-law, Angie and Kevin Jolley of Evensville and April and Tracy Cameron of Dayton; brother, Keith N. Snyder of Rockwood; nephew, Derrick Snyder of Rockwood; stepdaughter and her husband, Nikki and Chris Settles of Athens; stepson, Nathan Carroll of Athens; mother-in-law, Helen C. Chambers of Athens; nine grandchildren whom he loved so very much, Katie and Landry Jolley, Haley and McKenna Cameron, Gavin and Lilly Claire Settles, and Mattie, Tucker and Major Carroll; his beloved dogs, Lucy and Hank; and a very best friend, Steve Colloms of Athens.



Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Pastor Clifford Waters and Pastor Terry Burns officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Spring City Cemetery.



Pallbearers will be Chris Settles, Gavin Settles, Steve Colloms, Kevin Jolley, Tracy Cameron, Allen Kelley and Derrick Snyder.



The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
