Sylvia Orr, 88, of Conyers, Ga., died on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013.
A member of Rockdale Baptist Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution, she graduated from Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Orr; and her parents, Walton and Molly Robinette.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Charles Simmons of Conyers; two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles H. and Mary Ann Orr of Cave City, Ky., and Robert and Luci Orr of Sautee Nacoochee, Ga.; one brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Madge Robinette of Harlan, Ky.; and her grandchildren, Alana and Matt McGuire, Charles A. Orr, Robert Orr Jr. and Christina Orr.
Funeral services will be held Sunday in Fairview, Va. Burial will follow in the Robinette Family Cemetery in Fairview.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Scot Ward Funeral Services in Conyers, Ga., and from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Gate City Funeral Home in Gate City, Va.
