June King, 71, left for her heavenly home on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013.
Born in Athens, she was a member of East Ridge Baptist Church and the Winsome Sunday School Class and was a 1959 graduate of McMinn County High School. June worked at Parkridge Medical Center as well as various home health care services. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry King; and mother, Jessie McBroom.
Survivors include her aunt, Gladys Martin of Athens; cousins and spouses, Kim and Ron Skeen of Niota and Sheri and Randy Hall of Memphis; and a number of other cousins.
Special thanks go out to the nursing staff at Parkridge Medical Center, Avalon Hospice and her doctors for their compassion and care.
Funeral services will be noon Friday in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Dr. Ronnie Mitchell officiating. Entombment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to East Ridge Baptist Church, Avalon Hospice or the Hamilton County Baptist Children\'s Home.
