Mary Evelyn Coleman, 70, of Athens, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at Woods Memorial Hospital in Etowah.
A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. She was the daughter of Callie Ella Hayes Key Russell and the late Hillie Thomas Key, and was preceded in death by her father; and brother, Tommy Key.
Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Cinda Coleman and Doodle Bivens of Sweetwater and Carolyn Coleman Mullins of Etowah; one son, Wesley Thomas Coleman of Etowah; her mother, Callie Ella Hayes Key Russell of Englewood; grandchildren and spouses, Emily Jenkins Aziz and Abe Aziz of Athens, Derek and Ashley McAllister Jenkins of Etowah, and Tiffany Mullins of Etowah; two brothers, Jerry Dan Key and Stephen Lynn Key, both of Englewood; three great-grandchildren, Crosby Aziz, Lucy Jenkins and Allister Jenkins; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Sunrise Cemetery with Pastor Justin Brown officiating.
No formal visitation will be held.
