Today we celebrate the life and mourn the loss of Sally Ann Trew, a wonderful wife, matriarch and faithful child of God who went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Jan 21, 2013.
Sally, born June 22, 1945, in Brunswick, Maine, worked tirelessly to help others, most recently giving of herself as vice president of the Meigs C.A.R.E. organization for shelter animals. She was an active member of the Michigan Avenue Road Church of Christ in Cleveland. Sally was also a member of the Meigs County Fair Association for 24 years and a substitute teacher. She was a graduate of Hightstown High School in Hightstown, N.J., and of Southwestern Medical Academy in Phoenix, Ariz. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mae Rose Harrison.
Sally is survived by her husband of 50 years, Clyde R. Trew of Ten Mile; sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Teresa Trew and Scott and Julie Trew, all of Ten Mile; daughter, Cindy Trew of Ten Mile; brother-in-law, Frank Harrison of Florida; three grandchildren, Thomas, Tyler and William Trew; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bowers Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Hargis officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Memorial Garden.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
