Irene Hyde Moses, 95, of Athens, died on Friday afternoon, Jan. 18, 2013, at NHC of Athens.
A lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late Albert Lorenzo and Temple Kirby Hyde, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond R. Moses; and three brothers, Johnny Hyde, Fred Hyde and Howard Hyde. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She owned and operated the Robert E. Lee Beauty Shop for 25 years, and later served as a sales representative for the L\'Oreal of Paris Company and served as an instructor at Godsey Beauty School until her retirement.
Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Tina and Bruce Barner of Seattle, Wash., and Dale Goldman of Athens; three granddaughters, Sharon Womac and her husband, Jonathan, Alison Barner and Heather Barner; one grandson, Chuck Jones; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at McMinn Memory Gardens with Dr. Steve Brown officiating.
Pallbearers will be Dillon Womac, Asa Womac, Jeremy Loftis, Joel Loftis, Woodrow Loftis and Christopher Plemons.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Smith Funeral & Cremation Services prior to the service.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 E. College St., Athens, TN 37303.
