Mildred Rogers Neal, 78, of Englewood, died on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, in Clearwater, Fla., where she was being cared for by her son, Roger.
A native of Searcy, Ark., she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Addie Gibson Rogers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Norman G. Neal. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include one daughter, Robin Creel of Athens; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Randall and Thelma \"T.J.\" Neal of Etowah, and Roger Neal of Clearwater, Fla.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Smith Funeral & Cremation Services of Athens with the Rev. Scott Cardin officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Randall Neal, Roger Neal, Kelsey Neal, Zachary Neal, Howard Rickman and Harold Rickman.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
