Geraldine Hicks Hull, 81, of Athens, and formerly of Cleveland, peacefully passed away on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at her home.
She retired from Magic Chef after 35 years of service and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Hull; her parents, Isom and Bertha Hicks; three brothers, Carson Hicks, Joe Hicks and Cletus Hicks; and three sisters, Delsie Dawson, Bernice Higgenbottom and Shelby \"Sib\" Carpenter.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Ricky Lingerfelt of Athens, and Gayla and Glenn \"Pete\" Ward of Cleveland; three grandsons and their spouses, Keith and Shanna Lingerfelt of Louisville, and Eric and Amanda Gibson and Clay and Tabitha Ward, all of Cleveland; one granddaughter and her husband, Sandy and Ken Harrison of Cleveland; and great-grandchildren, Brock, Reid, Braylen and Drake Gibson, Alexus, Chesney, Kinley and Kason Lingerfelt, Ryan and Caramie Lowe, Kody and Meghan Ward, Haley Roe and Davin Flowers.
Funeral services were 8 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Rev. Gregg Hutsell officiating. Burial was 11 a.m. Monday in Sunset Memorial Gardens. A white dove release ceremony concluded the service.
Pallbearers were Eric Gibson, Keith Lingerfelt, Clay Ward, Brock Gibson, Ryan Lowe, Kody Ward and Reid Gibson.
The family received friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
