Calvin Ray Bright, 64, of Riceville, passed away on Friday morning, Jan. 11, 2013, at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville.



A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, he was a son of the late Leonard and Dollie Elkins Bright, and was preceded in death by two brothers, Gene Bright and Harrison Bright on July 9, 2012; two brothers-in-law, Gary \"Sut\" Roberts and Nelson Lowe; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harold and Margaret Sullivan. He was a well-known carpenter and an avid bird hunter and dog trainer. He was a member of Mount Harmony Baptist Church in Riceville.



Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Carolyn Sullivan Bright of Riceville; one daughter, Amy Hutsell of Riceville; one son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Dawn Bright of Cleveland; three grandchildren, Ryan and Hannah Bright and Sean Hutsell; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Maggie Roberts of Athens, Linda and Ross Morrow of Riceville, Dean Lowe of Riceville, and Virginia and Earl Roberts of Decatur; one brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Teresa Bright of Athens; three sisters-in-law, Opal Bright of Riceville, Phyllis Woody and her husband, Sonny, of Riceville, and Donna Fox and her husband, Gerald, of Cleveland; and one brother-in-law, Steve Sullivan of Cleveland.



Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Mount Harmony Baptist Church with the Rev. Garry King and Rev. Jimmy Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.



Pallbearers will be Daniel Woody, Chris Woody, Ray Webb, Stacey Kinsley, Russell Mahery, Larry Moses, Claude Womac and Buddie Cummings. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Jones, Charlie Brown, Chuck Lovingood and Harold Haun.



The family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the church.
