June Lynnell \"Lynn\" McKeehan, 66, of Athens, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at Life Care Center of Athens.
A native of Polk County and resident of Athens most of her life, she was preceded in death by her loving father, Ralph Hester. She was a member of Eastanallee Baptist Church and was co-owner of Don\'s Food Center for more than 20 years with her husband. She had a passion for scrapbooking and geneaology.
Nothing meant more to her than her faith and family, and she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and a dear daughter and sister.
Survivors include her loving husband of 47 years, Donald Henry McKeehan; her loving and caring mother, Levena Yates Hester of Athens; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Ricky and Diana McKeehan of Athens, and Chad D. McKeehan of Athens; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Kent Bridges of Athens; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Eddie and Susie Hester of Athens and Jimmy and Pat Hester of Nashville; five grandchildren who brought her the most joy, Jordon K. Bridges, Taylor K. Bridges, Cole McKeehan, Cade McKeehan and Corbin McKeehan; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; and special family, Kourtney Burris and Robert Nelson.
Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Oran Creasman officiating. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday at McMinn Memory Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Robert Nelson, Scottie McKeehan, Jeff Stone, Travis Bridges, Rob McKinney, Dustin Long, Joe Swafford and Logan McKheean.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.
