Mrs. Ferrell Cook Cooper, 82, of Etowah and formerly of Niota, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at her home.
A native of Roane County and resident of McMinn County most of her life, she was a daughter of the late Temer Howell and Minnie Lee Roark Cook, and was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Charles Eugene Cooper on Jan. 2, 2011; and two brothers, Murel \"Jack\" Cook and Ed Cook. She was a member of Union-McMinn Baptist Church and was retired from Niota Textile.
Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, James and Joann Cook of Etowah; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Alexander, the Rev. Ronnie Cook and the Rev. Clint Riddle officiating. Burial followed in McMinn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers were Randy Cook, Chris Cook, Larry Cook, Robert Martin, Don Reed and Albert Webb.
The family received friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.
