Steven \"Wonder\" Jerome Martin

Steven \"Wonder\" Jerome Martin, 62, of Englewood, went to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.



A son of Jewel Martin and the late James Ross Martin, he was born on Dec. 26, 1949. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and a member of the AmVets Post 100 and VFW in Athens. He was employed as a millwright. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tosha Jan Martin; his father, James Ross Martin; two sisters, Glenna Faye Martin and Kathy Jane Crabtree; his father-in-law, Jack Barnett; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Barnett; a great-nephew, Conner Lane; a brother-in-law, Dale Barnett; and several aunts and uncles.



Survivors include his wife, Patricia Jane Martin; his mother, Jewel Martin; two daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa Ann and Lynn Robinson, and Stephanie Michelle and E.J. Coleman; two granddaughters, Lacey Jamerson and Sara Robinson; one grandson, Austin Robinson; one great-granddaughter, Kaylyn Tincher; one brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Ronnie Lane; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Dana and Ronnie Lane, Vickie and Jim Crofts, Debbie Dills, and Sandy Martin; one sister and brother-in-law, Jimmie Sue and Sherman Williams; one brother and sister-in-law, Buster and Charlene Martin; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Pam and Jerry Defore; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jerry and Sarah Barnett; one sister-in-law, Susan Barnett; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.



Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronny Lane and Doug Coleman officiating.



The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday prior to the service.



Family and friends will assemble at 1 p.m. Sunday at Bordwine Funeral Home and proceed to McMinn Memory Gardens for the 2 p.m. committal service with military honors.



Pallbearers will be Michael Moore, Dustin Martin, Jason Lane, Jared Martin, Jamie Woodeson, E.J. Coleman and Lynn Robinson.
