James Edward \"Eddie\" Fox, 44, of Athens, died unexpectedly on Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at his home.
A native and resident of McMinn County most of his life, he was an employee of Heil Trailer International of Athens, a former employee of White-Westinghouse Company and Johnson Controls. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and an avid golfer and hunter. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, the Rev. John Roderick Holloway and wife, Lucille Hicks Holloway, J.B. Fox, and Roy Wilson.
Survivors include one daughter, Hali Maranda Fox; one son, Elijah Hunter Fox; his former wife, Sommer Eaton Fox; one stepdaughter, Sky Eaton; his mother and stepfather, Earla Holloway Wilson and husband, Jerry Wilson; his father and stepmother, J.C. Fox and wife, Sue Fox; the mother of his children, Lia Bayes; one brother, Scott Fox and his wife, Sherry; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Lisa Cooper, and Jenifer and Larry Roseberry, all of Athens; grandmothers, Sarah Fox of Loudon, and Leona Wilson of Athens; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Thomas officiating. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mitchell Fox, Lynn Spears, Lincoln Wilson, Scott Lyles, Scott Wilson, B.J. Tallent, Josh Hyde and A.J. Whited
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
