Brandy Nicole Shelton McHone
Dec 14, 2012
Dec. 14, 2012
Brandy Nicole Shelton McHone, 36, of Decatur, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Dec. 14, 2012.
She was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church in Decatur. She was the daughter of Kathy McKenzie Womack of Ten Mile and Ray Marion Shelton of Fayetteville, N.C. For most of her adult life she followed a family tradition of being a loving caregiver to many who were sick and in need of help. The most special one was her Pa Weaver who was stricken with cancer when she was 8 and 9 years old. Her Granny Rose told everyone that without her sitting with him in her big house she would never have been able to take care of her household chores in the rooms where she couldn\'t see or hear him, also giving her Pa much happiness in the process. In the last few years of her life she made some bad choices and I know the Lord decided to take her home to free her from her misery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Timothy McHone; her Pa Weaver McKenzie; Papaw Ray Shelton; and Nanny Leta Shelton.
The survivors include her beloved sons, Jessie Ray Shelton, 19, and Noah Riley McHone, 10, both of Decatur; her mother, Kathy Womack of Ten Mile; stepdad, Gary Dawson of Philadelphia; her dad, Ray Marion Shelton; stepmom, Trisha of Fayetteville, N.C; her beautiful granny, Rosa Lee Morgan of Decatur; loving brothers, Brandon Shelton and wife, Crystal, of Decatur, Chad Dawson of Philadelphia, Aaron Shelton of Walton, N.Y., Nathan Shelton of Albany, N.Y.; and sisters Amber Shelton of New Jersey, Renee Shelton of North Carolina; her very special stepsisters, Amy Broadwell of Chattanooga and Libby Sanders and husband, Adam, of Ringgold, Ga.; special uncles, Robert McKenzie and wife, Brenda, of Decatur, and David McKenzie and Gary Newman of Ten Mile; precious aunts, Linda Hutsell of Ten Mile, Janice Lyke of Lenoir City, Teresa Bright and husband, Gary, of Athens, Shy Newman Green of Charleston, Pam Bache and husband, Roger, of Dayton, and Brenda Green of Athens; her most loving great-aunt, Maxine Collier of Dayton; her sweet cousin, Becky Redmon, who was really more an aunt to her, of Decatur; many precious nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved very much; and her very special friend, Tracy Moore.
