Timmy A. Morgan, 46, of Athens, passed away Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012 at his sister\'s home.
He was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Reed and Etta Sue Worthy Morgan; sisters, Loretta Hardy and Bernice Gerhardt; and brothers, Benny, Melvin and John Morgan.
Survivors include his daughters, Brittany and Jessica Morgan; granddaughter, McKenzi Morgan all of Englewood; sister, Norma Johnson of Sweetwater; brother, James \"Duck\" Morgan of Crossville; and sister-in-law, Brenda Morgan of Englewood.
Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home of Etowah with Rev. Floyd Duncan officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at McMinn Memory Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home prior to the service.
The family would like to thank the Amedysis Hospice of Sweetwater and Brenda and Jacob Morgan for their compassionate care.
The family suggests that memorials be made in Timmy\'s memory to the American Cancer Society, 6221Shallowford Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
Ralph Buckner Funeral Home of Etowah is in charge of arrangements.
