Hazel Walker Tipton, 89, of Sweetwater, passed away on Monday, Dec. 10, 2012.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Sweetwater, and a well known seamstress at Powers Dress Shop and the Sweetwater Sock Shop for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ardell Tipton; her parents, Thomas and Cora Wilson Walker; and one brother, H.T. Walker.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Thomas \"Tom\" and Renee Tipton of Sweetwater; one granddaughter, Morgan Tipton of Sweetwater; and one sister, Helen Whitener of Cartersville, Ga.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Kyker Funeral Homes in Sweetwater, followed by a celebration of life service at 7 p.m. in Kyker\'s Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Carr, Pastor Tony Collins and Dr. Gerald Atkins officiating.
