Florence M. Gibson, 86, of Madisonville, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at NHC Health Care of Athens.
Born in Monroe County, she was the wife of the late Kenneth W. Gibson, who died in 1983; and the daughter of the late John Watson and Elsie Watson Hicks. She was a longtime member of Notchey Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Pam Gibson of Riceville; two sisters-in-law, Irene Gibson of Virginia, and Edna Gibson of Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 7:30 p.m. Monday at Notchey Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Gale Miller officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at the church.
Biereley-Hale Funeral Home of Madisonville is in charge of arrangements.
