Leonis R. McKeown, 91, of Athens, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at The Health Care Center at Standifer.
A native and resident of McMinn County for most of her life, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Rena Thompson Brickell, and was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph William McKeown; two sisters, Ruth S. Brickell and Wilma Brickell West; and one son-in-law, Henry Campbell. She was a member of Rogers Creek Baptist Church and was a former member of Senior Friends at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include one son, Charles R. McKeown of Chattanooga; one daughter, Marilyn Campbell of Chattanooga; four grandchildren, Bradley McKeown, Kailyn McKeown, Andrew McKeown and Christopher Campbell; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Short Creek Cemetery.
